She has a Master of Arts degree with distinction in Cognitive Studies from St. Petersburg State University, Russia.

Her thesis, "Dynamics of Sensorimotor Learning in a Competitive Pressure Situation", was ranked number 1 by the examination board in the Cognitive Studies program.

Her research interests are in the field of cognitive neuroscience: she is interested in adaptive behavioural changes under pressure of various origins and, more specifically, effects of state and trait anxiety on visual attention and execution of sensorimotor tasks, as well as interaction of prediction and feedback processes under stress.
